JMC demolishes structure at Bakshi Nagar

JAMMU, : Enforcement wing of Jammu Muncipal Corporation today demolished structures at Shopping centre Bakshi Nagar being constructed without the building permission.

Besides, encroachment was also removed in the Sharika Vihar through removal of gate fixed for covering drains in the area. JMC further intensifying the drive against the use of polythene carry bags also inspected various shops, vendors and other outlets in the areas of Satwari, Digiana, Kunjwani, Gangyal, Jammu.

During the inspection the team seized about 15 kgs of polythene carry bags and also realized Rs. 5200.00 (Rupees five thousand two hundred) as compounding fee from defaulters on spot who were using the polythene carry bags. The team also made the people aware of the ban on the use of polythene carry bags and the adverse effects of polythene carry bags which are made of Non – Bio-degradable material and requested them to use the bags made of bio-degradable material to carry their commodities.

The Team of Health Wing also seized 10 Kg Polythene & fined Rs.7600 to 25 defaulters from the area Prem Nagar, Narwal and other adjoin area.
