Civic body invites Rs 10.7 crore bids for road repair works

NASHIK: The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has invited bids worth Rs 10.7 crore for various road works in the city such as tarring, resurfacing, macadamization, etc.

The works are to be executed through private contractors and the last date for filing the bids is October 3, 2013.

The tenders include around 28 various road works in various parts of the city. The late Kishor Suryavanshi Road in ward no. 5 in Panchavati division of the civic body is to be tarred at a cost of Rs 2.62 crore. The roads in Prabhatnagar area in the same ward will be resurfaced by spending of Rs. 78.96 lakh. The roads near Sanmitra Housing Society in ward no. 40 in Nashik East division, which were broken during the works undertaken by storm water drainage and water supply departments, are to be macadamized and tarred at a cost of Rs. 68.17 lakh.

The tarring of the 18-metre DP road from Mumbai highway to Gaulane from survey nos. 296 to 232 in ward no. 52 in Cidco division is to be carried out at a cost of Rs 69.28 lakh. The road from EPS company to the power house of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) up to Chunchale housing scheme in ward no. 51 in Cidco division is to be tarred at an expenditure of Rs 54.05 lakh.

The bids also include works like macadamization and tarring of roads in Vasannagar and Panini Society in ward no. 52 in Cidco division at a cost of 47.90 lakh, resurfacing of colony roads in Mirajkarnagar and Jaynagar areas in ward no. 39 in Nashik East division by spending Rs 39 lakh and other such works.resurfacing of roads in Hanumannagar in ward no. 2 in Panchavati division at a cost of Rs 38.76 lakh and macadamisation and tarring of roads in Kamatvadegaon in ward no. 48 in Cidco division at an expenditure of Rs 34.23 lakh.
