KMC realizes Rs 16.43 lakh as tax

KANPUR: Kanpur municipal corporation, on Monday, collected Rs 16.43 lakhs as tax from the residents of ward 85 in a public grievance redressal camp.

As many as 20 complaints were received in the camp. Eight were against Jal Sansthan. Six were disposed of. People complained about roads, streetlights and tax problems.

The municipal commissioner DK Singh inspected the Motijheel and directed to develop a vending zone behind the municipal corporation building and shift all venders there.

He also asked to repair railings and wire fencing of Rajeev Vatika and paint Salman Dwar, Rose Garden and Kargil Park.

Meat shops close: All the meat shops and slaughter houses would be closed on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2.
