Civic administration invites bids worth Rs 2.26 cr for various electric works

NASHIK: The civic body has invited bids worth Rs 2.26 crore for electrical works in the city such as the repair and maintenance of traffic signals, the installation of light poles and other tasks at various municipal corporation offices.

The works are to be executed through the private contractors who have enrolled with the electrical department of the Nashik Municipal Corporation. The last date for filing the bids is October 11.

The tender includes 11 electrical works in various parts of the city. Octagonal electric poles are to be installed along the Aurangabad highway on the stretch from Aurangabad Naka to Nandur Naka at a cost of Rs 1.11 crore. The repair and maintenance work of traffic signals is to be carried out through a private firm at a cost of Rs 27 lakh. There are a total of 23 traffic signals in the civic body's jurisdiction.

The bids also include works like the procurement of digital time switches for the streetlights belonging to the civic body's electric department at a cost of Rs. 23.23 lakh, the setting up of streetlights along Vadala Road in Nashik east division's prabhag no. 38 at a cost of Rs. 20.66 lakh, streetlight installation works at various locations in the west division's prabhag no. 13 at a cost of Rs. 13.42 lakh, streetlight woks at Makhmalabad in prabhag no. 6 at a cost of Rs. 7.80 lakh, the installation of decorative lights in Kalika Mandir area at a cost of Rs. 6.88 lakh, providing temporary electricity, lighting and arrangement of sound system at Dadasaheb Phalke Smarak and other places on the occasion of birth and death anniversaries of great national leaders at a cost of Rs. 6.88 lakh and electric fitting works as per requirement at the divisional and other offices of municipal corporation at a cost of Rs. 5 lakh etc.
