VUDA begins exercise to identify disputed plots

VUDA has begun an exercise to identify vacant, encroached and disputed plots in all its layouts since inception.

Special teams were formed for the purpose with staff from administration, planning, estate and engineering wings to function under the supervision of heads concerned.

Vice-Chairman N. Yuvaraj wanted the work of the teams to cover all layouts in Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram since the time of Town Planning Trust (that later became VUDA) and complete it in two days.

Dr. Yuvaraj on Tuesday directed the teams to verify the allotment details with the help of Demand-Collection-Balance (DCB) records available with the administrative wing comparing them with the layout plans, identifying encroachments or disputes against the plots unallotted. All such identified plots after a through verification and certification of clear ownership, will be put for allotment for which notification will be issued next month. The teams formed have been working under the supervision of VUDA Secretary G.C. Kishore Kumar.

The Vice-Chairman appreciated the officers and staff for the successful and smooth completion of the auction on Saturday and Sunday.
