NMC invites Rs 2cr tenders for drainage works

NASHIK: The Nashik Municipal Corporation has invited tenders to the tune of Rs 2 crore for underground drainage work from licensed and experienced contractors by December 4.

Tenders have been invited for various underground works like laying of pipelines, joining pipelines, stopping mixing of water, laying new underground drainages and annual maintenance. The civic body has invited only licensed contractors who have experience of working for central or state government or semi-government organisations.

"Laying of pipelines, joining pipelines, stopping mixing of water from Nasardi river to Godavari river, laying new underground drainages, installing PVC mesh, annual repair and maintenance work of pipes and drainages are included in this project," an NMC engineer said.

The works include laying drainage pipes at Varvandi Road in Panchavati, RCC pipes, gutters at Someshwar temple in Satpur division, main pipeline and sub-main pipelines in Mhasrul area in Panchavati division, joining pipelines to the main pipeline in Ayodhya Nagri area at Panchavati division, to stop the water of Nasardi river from mixing into Godavari river in East division, laying of RCC pipe, gutter in prabhag 58 in Nashik Road division, annual repairing of underground drainage in Satpur division, installing new underground drainage in Vidi Kamgar area in Panchavati division, laying RCC pipe near Modakeshwar area in East division and installing PVC mesh on the overflow channel at the women's section of the swimming pool in Nashik Road division.
