BMC razes three buildings

In a joint operation of two departments of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation- Building Permission Department and Anti-encroachment squad illegal constructions of three buildings was razed on Monday.

Taking strict action against illegal construction illegal buildings were razed at Barigarh and Sehore Naka areas and illegal constructions at Zone office number 1 on Monday.

An illegal building built on 20 x 60 sq ft area at Sehore Naka was demolished which was constructed  without obtaining permission for the construction. Rajesh Hasnani has constructed G+2 in which two shop at the ground floor and 20 rooms on the first and second floor were razed. Two illegally constructed shops owned by Dinesh Pardasani were also razed. The shops were built at ground floor.

Illegal construction near Bairagarh Zone office owned by Vidhya Devi was razed. The shops at the ground floor were demolished and centring was removed from the first floor.

BMC officials have confirmed that the owners of the buildings were served notices under section 302 and 307 of Nagar Palika Nigam Act 1956 but even after the issuance of notices owners continued with the construction without obtaining permission.  Failing to act according to the notice the BMC on Monday took action and in the joint operation three buildings were selected.

Other illegal constructions in the area which have been served notices are going to be razed soon, told the BMC officials.

During the operation Assistant Engineer SN Dube and Brajesh Kaushal, Sanitation In-charge Sajid Khan, In-charge of anti-encroachment Inspector Subash Batham and officials of BMC were present.
