4 complaints heard on Lokshahi Din at NMC

NASHIK: Four complaints were heard during the Lokshahi Din of the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Monday.

Of the four complaints, three belonged to theanti-encroachment department, while one was concerning property tax department. The municipal commissioner Sanjay Khandare heard the complaints of the complainant.

As per the government rules, the Lokshahi din is held on the first Monday of every month.

Speaking to TOI, Deputy Commissioner of NMC, Haribhau Phadol, who currently holds an additional charge of administrative department of municipal corporation, said, "Four complaints were heard during Lokshahi din. Three complaints were concerning encroachments, while the fourth complaint was concerning distribution of property tax bill in the wrong name. We will make enquiries as per the applications of the complainant and settle the issues at the earliest."

The deputy commissioner added, "As per rules, now the complainants can't make general complaints. The complaints should be individual and not general. It can be pertaining to development, but it cannot be settled immediately. "
