BMC’s door to door waste collection scheme lauded

The door-to-door waste collection scheme of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) was commended in a workshop held in Piplani office of Zone 12 here on Sunday.
Members of the residents’ welfare committees of ward 55, 58 and 62 termed the waste collection scheme of the BMC as a step initiated in the direction of making city free of waste containers.
Additional Health Officer of BMC, Rakesh Sharma on the occasion highlighted the objective behind the door-to-door waste collection scheme, initiated in localities under ward 63.
Taking account of spreading viruses of epidemic like swine flu, dengue and conjunctivitis, different ways were also discussed in the workshop that could save city from such diseases.
