HDMC takes precautions against H1N1

HUBLI: In the wake of the death of two women from swine flu, the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) is taking precautionary measures to contain the spread of the disease. It has requested the citizens not to panic as the disease is under control.

HDMC health officer Dr Prabhu Biradar stated in a press release that swine flu would spread through H1N1 virus from droplet infection.

Cold, cough, fever, headache, body pain are the symptoms. Tami Flu tablets should be consumed only as per the physician’s direction and people should not resort to self medication, he said.

People should maintain cleanliness and take necessary precautionary measures, he added.
