Health policy for GHMC employees
HYDERABAD: GHMC Commissioner S.P. Singh handed over a cheque for Rs.64.80 lakh to Oriental Insurance Company Limited towards premium for 2,500 employees who initially gave their consent to take insurance policy here on Tuesday. Medical Insurance Scheme is being implemented for all 6,000 employees and their dependents (six members in each family) and Mr. Singh claimed it is the first municipal body to take up such a scheme.
Annual premium
Under this scheme, the annual premium is Rs.2,584 of which 50 per cent will be borne by GHMC and the employee has to pay the balance amount at Rs. 108 per month.
Employees can avail treatment in any network hospital without paying any advance and the policy covers all types of diseases including pre-existing ones, said a press release.
