Sanitation drive to be launched from May 13

A special sanitation drive would be launched from May 13 to make the city clean. During this period DDT would be sprinkled and fogging would be done to kill the mosquitoes in the city.

These orders were issued by the municipal corporation commissioner Vinod Sharma to the PHE and health department of Municipal Corporation. He also ordered the officers related to the health and drinking water to ensure regular drinking water supply and sanitation in their areas. He ordered to conduct the sanitation drive from 4 pm to 6 pm.

The order also states, if garbage is found burning anywhere penal action would be taken against the sanitation Daroga. Sanitation Daroga and assistant Daroga would also be held responsible if garbage is found on the road.

The municipal corporation got an FIR registered against Punjab Singh Gurjar for damaging the main pumping line of Sanjay Nagar Mandi in Madhoganj police station.

During inspection of water crises and sanitation arrangements in Golpahariya area Sharma found that newly constructed culvert broken in Sanjay Nagar and Madhav Nagar within ten days of its construction. The contractor was immediately black listed.

The additional commissioner ML Daulatani said that notice has been issued to local sub engineer against whom disciplinary action would be taken. Even after inferior construction the sub engineer had given an okay report of the culvert and the contractor was given the payment.

Mayor Sameeksha Gupta worshiped land for asphalting two main roads in Lashkar South area on Thursday. The road of GME, SAF quarters in ward no 54 would be constructed at the cost of Rs 14.91 lakh. A road from Dholi Bua Ka Pul to Dr Kamal Kishor in ward no 39 would be constructed at a cost of Rs 30 lakh.
