Promise to repair roads

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner M.T. Krishna Babu said the damaged roads would be re-carpeted provided there were a few days of clear sky as tenders had been kept ready.

However, pothole filling will be done as and when required as the Corporation has got its own hot-mix plants and rollers.

He reiterated that the civic body would not wait till monsoon ends to take up repair work.

He also said that overflowing drainage and sewerage were damaging roads, but GHMC was coordinating with HMWSSB to fix these problems.
