Panel approves Rs150cr for road development

NASHIK: The standing committee of the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Tuesday approved proposals of 10 road works worth Rs 150 crore. The civic administration has already finalised private contractors for the 10 road projects.

The proposals include development of the inner ring road in the city from Nilgiri Bag to Agartakali Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to Saikheda road at a cost of Rs 8.76 crore, development of the 30 metre DP road from Dindori road to Gorakshnagar chowk to Waghere road at a cost of Rs 25.03 crore and the development of the road from Sainath Nagar to Kalanagar Chowk to Pathardi village at a cost of Rs 32.08 crore.

The proposal includes resurfacing of Dindori road from Nimani square to Gorakshnagar at a cost of Rs 9.93 crore, resurfacing of road from Mumbai naka to Ashok stambh via CBS at a cost of Rs 4.27 crore, development of road from Takli village on the Mumbai-Agra highway to Nashik-Pune highway at a cost of Rs 12.82 crore, widening and tarring of stretch of Dindori road from Waghere square upto NMC limit at a cost of Rs 12.04 crore, widening and tarring of road from Tapovan link road from Aurangabad Road to Dream City via Laxminarain bridge at a cost of Rs 13.84 crore, widening and tarring of Peth Road from Rau Hotel square to NMC limit at a cost of Rs 17 crore and development of Peth road from Godavari Left Bank Canal to Rau Hotel square at Rs 13.46 crore.
