Sunkaria worried by delay in city green belts

The City Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Roshan Sunkaria on Tuesday visited the green house belts in Sectors 49, 51 and 56 in the city which are under development and expressed his concern for the delay in their development.

MC Chief Engineer, SS Bidda, Superintending Engineer Mukesh Anand and other officers of the civic body accompanied the Commissioner, who was upset with the work going on at the snail's pace in Sector 56. The horticulture wing apprised him that the supply of water had been recently arranged by Public Health wing and assured him to complete the work as soon as possible.

Due to winter season it is difficult to develop grassy lawn and it will take at least three months for fully develop the green belt. As such this green belt can be inaugurated by March, 2011.

Furthermore, the green belt of Sector 51 was also inspected and the Commissioner evinced his concern for incomplete green belt till now despite of the fact that he visited this green belt about one and a half years ago.

Sunkaria has also instructed the Public Health wing to install more sluice valves in the park to have proper supply of water all over the green belt. He also inspected the Garden of Valley of Animal in Sector 49.
