Vuda to auction row houses on August 18

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (Vuda) will conduct an open auction for allotment of European-style row housing units (RHUs) located at Rushikonda along the beach on August 18, Vuda vice-chairman N Yuvaraj announced on Tuesday.

Applications will be received online from Wednesday till August 12. The Vuda has developed 88 duplex row houses over 6.78 acres at Rushikonda close to the Vizag-Bheemili beach road as a gated community. While 22 units were earlier allotted through the open auction route, now the notification for disposal of the remaining units following completion of construction was issued, he added.

He pointed out that the State Election Commission had accorded permission to take up the notification process for conducting the auction. A total of 65 units are available for allotment through the open auction in four categories. While 10 units in category-A with built-up area of 2066 square feet (173.33 sq yards) are up for grabs, there are 41 units with built-up of 2114 square feet (173.33 sq yards) in category-B, 6 units of 2222 sft (187 sq yards) in category-C and 8 units of 2386 sft (202.22 sq yards) under category-D.

The upset price for the open auction for category-A is Rs 71 lakh, for Category-B it is Rs 72 lakh, Rs 77 lakh for category-C and Rs 82.5 lakh for Category-D.

The houses have amenities such as solar fencing, solar water heater for each unit and other common facilities. Online applications are available on the Vuda website www.vuda.gov.in.
