Lessons on waste disposalBengaluru, Oct. 31: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has launched its solid waste management plan in a big way in the city. Officials of the civic body are striving to create awareness among people and one such campaign was organised at ward no. 35 of Aramanenagara on Sunday.
Dr Shivaprasad, BBMP member and also member of Medical Council of India, said: “Our city holds number 1 position in so many aspects, but lags behind in waste disposal and management. We intend to educate people on waste segregation and its benefits. We have kept a target of one year to bring about a change in society. We will conduct seminars and awareness campaigns in other localities too.”
