Sanitary waste centres in 22 wards
Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has identified domestic sanitary waste collection centres in all 22 Kasamukta (garbage-free) wards in the city.
Sources said that the sanitary and biomedical waste collected from these wards will be sent to these identified centres, which are private as well as BBMP hospitals.
These hospitals have already tied up with Maradi and Ramky companies, which run bio-waste treatment plants.
Thus, the sanitary and biomedical waste generated from households will be disposed of scientifically, they added.
The centres are J P Nagar Health Centre for Sarakki, Pattabhiramanagar and J P Nagar wards, Koramangala Health Centre for Ejipura, Audugodi Dispensary for Koramangala, Shankarnagar Health Centre for Marappana Palya, Palace Guttahalli Maternity Home for Rajmahal Guttahalli wards, Kodandaramapura Urban Family Welfare Centre for Kadu Malleshwara and Dattartreya Temple wards, Maruthi Nursing Home for Gandhinagar, Geleyara Balaga Health Centre for Nagapura, Shanthinagara Maternity Home for Shantala Nagar, M R Palya Maternity Home for Gangenahalli and J C Nagar wards, Cholanayakanahalli Health Centre for Vishwanatha Nagenahalli, Agara IPP Centre for HSR Layout, Konanakunte Public Health Centre for Konanakunte, Neha Prakash Hospital for Attur, K K Hospital for Yelahanka, Sanjeevini Hospital for Chokkasandra, Kengeri Public Health Centre for Kengeri and R Channa Basappa Hospital for R R Nagar wards.
