Tax collection drive from Dec 1
Mandya, November 28, DHNS :
Deputy Commissioner C Jaffer announced that a tax collection drive will be launched from December 1 following the dues of property tax to the tune of `574.21 lakh to the CMC, Town Municipal councils and Town panchayats.
The water tax of ` 270 lakh is yet to be recovered from the users. The drive would conclude on December 31 and it would be launched with the help of local civic bodies.
The property owners should pay property tax.
Steps would be taken to collect remaining arrears as per the rules, he added.
