Kanpur Municipal Corporation realizes Rs 2.34 lakh as tax

KANPUR: A sum of Rs 2.34 lakh was collected as tax during a camp at Aryanagar in ward 22 of zone 4 on Friday.

The officials received 13 complaints regarding revenue, engineering, streetlight, sanitation, Jal Sansthan and garbage lifting during the public redressal camp. Nine complaints were settled.

Meanwhile, more than 1,200 challans have been issued under Nagar Nigam Act-1959 and Plastic Act. An anti-encroachment drive was also carried out.

The civic officials warned that the teams would confiscate the goods displayed on footpaths.
