Property documents at B’loreOne centres
Meanwhile, the department of stamps and registration is mulling over making available encumbrance certificate and other property documents at BangaloreOne centres. This will help people avoid long queues at the sub-registrar's office to get the documents.
KR Niranjan, inspector general of registration and commissioner of stamps told Express: “We have discussed the plan with the e-governance department. It will be implemented as soon as the e-governance department provides the software and other facilities,” he said.
He said that there will be no change in the waiting period or the fee to get an encumbrance certificate. However, the applicant may need to pay a small service charge to the BangaloreOne centre, he added. This facility will enable people to get certificates even after regular office hours as BangaloreOne centres are open till 7.30 pm.
