Pimpri Chinchwad mayor Mohini Lande praises civic officials for getting 'Best City award'

PUNE: Pimpri Chinchwad mayor Mohini Lande said that the city has bagged the 'Best City' award because the civic officials and employees always strive to give quality services to the citizens. She was speaking at a farewell function organized for the retiring employees.

A total of 34 officials and employees retired on May 31. Eight employees have taken voluntary retirement. Shyam Gaikwad, acting Medical officer of Health(MoH) was the senior most official among the officials who retired.

Lande and municipal commissioner Shrikar Pardeshi felicitated the retiring employees and officials. Lande said that the organizations that have good working employees gains fame. The employees and officials of the civic body take great efforts due to which it is able to provide good civic amenities and implement development projects for the benefit of the citizens. The city has received the 'Best City' award due to their efforts.

She said that municipal commissioner Shrikar Pardeshi has brought in discipline due to which there has been improvement in the functioning of civic administration. She said that the retiring officials and employees must participate in social work while pursuing their hobbies.

Pardeshi said that the civic body has to provide civic amenities as per the growing population of the city. Many times the civic officials and employees have to face increased tension while performing their duties. But still they strive to overcome difficulties and give better services to the citizens.
