Staff Reporter

Sanitary inspectors, who succeed in keeping their respective wards clean, will be given rewards, according to Municipal Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana. During his morning visit on Thursday, he expressed satisfaction at the sanitation at Sitammadhara and Balayya Sastry layouts and complimented sanitary inspector Satyanarayana. His name should be proposed for a reward, he directed Zone Commissioner Srirama Murthy.

The salary of the sanitary inspector at Akkayyapalem should be stopped for not wearing uniform, he directed officials. He visited Sri Prakash School at Sitammadhara and saw fire safety measures and directed ACP A. Srinivasa Rao to inspect whether the construction in cellar was in accordance with plan.

At the Relli Veedhi at Sitampeta, he saw encroachments on the road in spite of their being allotted houses under JNNURM and asked officials to verify details.

During his interaction with zone commissioners, he asked them to identify sponsors for push-carts in zones IV and V where the new solid waste management was to be launched next month.

Sponsoring of push-carts was quite successful in Guntur, he told them.
