Civic body shuffles senior officials

NASHIK: The civic body shuffled some of its officials on Tuesday who will take charge of their new posts in a few days.

Deputy municipal commissioner R M Bahiram, who was in charge of taxes, has now been given the charge of the anti-encroachment department, house tax, water cess, administration, slum development, Rajiv Awas Yojana and the task of coordination between the divisional officers.

Deputy municipal commissioner Dattatreya Gotise, who previously held charge over the anti-encroachment department, will now oversee secondary education, the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan scheme, the anganwadis, women and child welfare department, the hawkers' scheme and the Suvarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana.

Deputy chief accountant S V Gholap has now been assigned the employees welfare department, Karamchari Bhavishya Nirvaha Yojana, purchase of revenue stamps, the task of returning the deposit of contractors, the law department, printing department and records.

Assistant deputy municipal commissioner Chetana Kerure will work under deputy municipal commissioner R M Bahiram and assistant municipal commissioner Vasudha Kurnawal will report to deputy municipal commissioner Dattatreya Gotise.

The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has reshuffled some of its officials on Tuesday which has come to effect immediately and in a few days the new posts will be handled full-fledged by the newly transferred officials.

Deputy Municipal Commissioner R M Bahiram, who was in charge of tax, has been given the responsibility of anti-encroachment department, house tax, water cess and various other taxes, administration, slum development, Rajiv Awas Yojana and co-ordination between various divisional officers.

Deputy Municipal Commissioner Dattatreya Gotise, who was in charge of anti-encroachment department, has been given the responsibility of secondary education, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan scheme, Anganwadi, Women and Child Welfare department, hawkers' scheme and Suvarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana.
