Rajkot Municipal Corporation nominated for PM award

RAJKOT: Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) has been nominated for Prime Minister Award for Excellence in Public Administration.

Sources in RMC said RMC commissioner Ajay Bhadoo has been to New Delhi to complete the formality in this regard.

"This award is dedicated by the central government to various organizations and individuals. A total of 400 applications for this award had been received this year, of which 40 applications had been shortlisted. After carrying out field visits, now only 15 applications have been shortlisted in which RMC has been included," said an RMC source, adding that RMC is the only municipal corporation in the country to have been nominated for this award.

The declaration of this award is likely in the next week.
