BBMP to start development work by November

BANGALORE: Development works to be undertaken by the BBMP in the city will start by late November.

Mayor S K Nataraj said the Palike would aim to complete the works — to be started in all the 198 wards — within six months.

In a meeting, ways to train new corporators  to prepare programme of works for their wards was also discussed.

The Mayor said they would discuss the formalities of floating tender and then start work.

He said ward funds would be used for essential and important works and that there would be no special grants for emergency work whose work code has been cancelled recently.
