Siddaiah orders restoration of Halagevaderahalli
He said the lake was historically important and was in a dismal state because of sewage discharge. He said the fencing of the lakes had been removed and ordered for the restoration of the same.
Siddaiah inspected R R Nagar Zone and inspected the development works, including work to fill potholes on Mysore Road.
He instructed contractors and the chief engineer of the zone to fill up the potholes in a scientific manner and use quality products for the same.
As many as 64 parks in the area have been developed. The commissioner inspected the rainwater harvesting installations of five such parks.
He said all the BBMP parks must have rainwater harvesting facilities and start converting compost with the help of the Horticulture department.
He also said more trees should be planted to convert the parks into tree parks.
