Development works worth Rs. 8.86 crore launched

Veeranna Charantimath, MLA, launched development works worth Rs. 8.86 crore by performing puja at APMC Cross here on Monday.

The works will be taken up by the Bagalkot Urban Development Authority (BUDA).

They include construction of compound walls around Muslim burial grounds, fencing around transformers in Navanagar, installing streetlights and asphalting all major roads in the city limits.

Mr. Charantimath stated that the State Government had released Rs. 50 crore to take up development works in Bagalkot city.

Approval had been given to take up 19 works at a cost of Rs. 8.86 crores in the first phase.
