GVMC seeks aid under CSR

Municipal Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana on Tuesday sought the co-operation of various non-governmental organisations, government departments and corporates in developing the city.

He wanted them to contribute to keeping the city clean through better solid waste management, education, health, BRTS, housing, community halls, public toilets, among other things, said a GVMC release. The requirements of GVMC are put on the website of GVMC.

Mr. Satyanarayana thanked Hudco contributing Rs.2 crore and Rs.47 lakh by HPCL for construction of school buildings. Gopalakrishna Foundation contributed Rs.2 lakh. Rotary District Governor Ch. Surya Rao and its representative Kamalasri and representatives of Bank of Baroda, HPCL, Gopalakrishna Foundation, Vizag Metro, Essar, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Lions Club, Round Table India and the Navy were present.
