BMC removes illegal parking sheds from Sanjay Complex

SR | Bhopal

In a crack down on illegal parking sheds springing up in residential localities of the State capital, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday demolished seven such encroachments in the Sanjay Complex locality.

Officials said the drive was concentrated at the PWD quarters of the locality, where a number of residents had erected parking sheds on Government land without taking any prior permission.

They said the constructions were pulled down with the help of JCB machines after repeated notices served to the encroachers had failed to elicit a response from them.
Similarly, in a separate drive, the BMC demolition squad pulled removed illegal constructions that were obstructing the construction of nullah in the Ambedkar Nagar area.

The proposed nullah is being constructed under a pilot project of the BMC, which aims to create a systematic waste disposal route in the area.
