Continuing its drive against encroachment, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday razed illegal construction of a restaurant on Bhadbhada Road, apart from taking similar action against a hotel and gymnasium in Ashoka Garden area of the State capital.

Further, around two truckloads of construction material, unlawfully being sold from roadside were seized from the busy Itwara and Macchli Market area of the Old City.

The anti-encroachment drive of district administration undertaken in assistance with BMC in Ashoka Garden area continued till late.

Unlawful construction of a restaurant in Bhadbhada area was demolished on the behest of the Building Permission Department of the Corporation.
