Anti-encroachment drive continues in cityStaff Reporter | Bhopal
Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) continued its drive against the encroachments in different parts of the city on Monday. The anti-encroachment squad of the corporation has removed encroachments from Nehru Nagar Square to Kopal School.
The BMC’s anti-encroachment squad removed fencing, mesh and illegal garages from 103 houses to make the Kopal School road of Nehru Nagar encroachment free.
The anti-encroachment drive is going on from last few days on the instructions of Bhopal Mayor Krishna Gaur and Commissioner Manish Singh.
Meanwhile, the BMC continuing its special cleanliness drive for cleansing the city before the festival of lights, Diwali, took out 106 truckloads of waste and debris from different localities.
Under this drive, the health department of the corporation carried out drive in different parts of the city and extracted 106 truckloads of waste that was sent to Bhanpura landfill site and insecticides were also sprayed as per the requirement.
The cleanliness drive was started on October 23 on the instructions of Mayor Krishna Gaur to make the city neat and clean like homes.
The special drive would continue till November 4 and would give priority to those areas that could not be cleaned on a regular basis and that are visited by crowds.
The waste extracted is collected at fixed places. Later, it is picked and sent to the disposal ground and if the need arises, insecticides are also sprayed on it.
