Commissioner's directive
VIJAYAWADA: Municipal Commissioner G. Ravi Babu on Tuesday asked the officials to prepare an action plan to remove encroachments on ‘route number five' (Polytechnic College Road).
After visiting Polytechnic College Road, Mr. Ravi BAbu asked the officials to take steps to widen the road, construct side drains and install central lighting system.
He said bonds would be issued to those, who parted with their lands voluntarily. He also interacted with Andhra Loyola College principal and appraised the need for widening the road up to 80 feet.
The Principal told the Commissioner that the matter would be placed before the management. Mr. Ravi Babu later visited Harijanawada, Giripuram and other areas. Executive Engineer J.V. Ramakrishna, CMOH M. Satyanarayana Raju, Assistant City Planner Prabhakar Rao and others were present.
