Anti-encroachment drive continuesThe anti-encroachment drive initiated near the categorised market on 80 feet wide main road continued on Wednesday as well.
Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) hammered down a number of ramps and sheds and also seized over two truckloads of material.
In view of the violent protest put up by traders against the drive in the area on Tuesday, a large police posse stood guard as the corporation employees went about the action on Wednesday.
The drive is aimed at ensuring the free flow of vehicular traffic, which was getting hindered by encroachments.
Officials said the drive was simultaneously continuing in other parts of the city as well.
