Encroachments cleared

ROURKELA:  Rourkela municipal administration yesterday cleared encroachments along the drain line and sidewalks between Bisra square and Madhusudan square.  Accompanied by three platoons of police, the civic body personnel removed encroachments from the footpaths which was necessary for repair or cleaning of public drains and would also make smooth passage to pedestrians. Encroachers, who were earlier slapped notices tried to raise protest, but finally surrendered meekly. 

Rourkela ADM Sachin Ramchandra Jadav, municipal executive officer and engineer BK Swain and Manoranjan Mishra respectively were present.
