Demolition drive in Hassan continues
HASSAN: The demolition drive against illegally-constructed religious structures continued in Hassan on Wednesday also.
On Wednesday afternoon, the district administration removed the sculpture of Basava on BM Road. City Municipal Council officials said the sculpture was a historical monument and it will be kept in the museum. Later, a dargah at Old Post Office Road was also demolished. Rangaswamy, president of Hassan CMC, ASP Yellapa and other officials were present during the demolition drive.
