Encroachments cleared
Officials of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), on Tuesday, recovered 1,433 sq. ft of its land by clearing encroachments on the storm-water drains at Rajajinagar Industrial Area and Basaveshwarnagar here.
The total worth of the recovered land is said to be close to Rs. 75 lakh.
As part of the demolition drive, two petty shops constructed on the drain on Basaveshwarnagar Main Road, as well as two compound walls and two small rooms at Rajajinagar Industrial Area, were demolished.
