Encroachments cleared in ward number 35

INDORE: Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Friday removed around 40 encroachments in ward number 35 to widen the road from Maruti Nagar Crossing to Heera Nagar. IMC is going to construct 60 feet wide road in the locality to ease traffic movement and avoid chances of accidents.

Mayor-in-Council (MiC) member and corporator of ward number 35, Chandu Shinde said encroachment was removed with the co-operation of residents. Around 40 houses or portion of the houses were demolished to pave the way for 60 ft road. IMC officials said people had encroached around eight feet to 20 feet on the road and some of the houses were entirely coming on the way of road. IMC had send notices to these houses few days back, following which removal work was carried out.

After the construction of road, residents of the area will not have to travel through Bapat Crossing. It will not only save time but also reduce the chances of accidents.
