Lucknow Municipal Corporation removes illegal structures in Nishatganj

LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) on Tuesday removed encroachments from Nishatganj flyover up to Badshah Nagar and Kukrail nullah. It demolished four permanent structures and around 50 temporary encroachments in the area.

It also recovered about Rs 24 lakh as pending house tax payment from prominent commercial units in various zones. From Rani Lakshmi Bai ward in zone-1 Rs 9 lakh were collected, MNC 'Aegis' in Vibhuti Khand deposited Rs 4.5 lakh against pending house tax.

Similarly, GM Enterprises, Pace Complex and other units on Rae Bareli Road in zone- 5 have deposited Rs 4.5 lakh while Rs 6 lakh has been recovered from zone 6.
