Demolitions near Ziaguda
The GHMC’s town planning wing on Thursday demolished 55 temporary and permanent sheds constructed illegally and encroaching upon the proposed 100 ft road near the Ziaguda slaughter house. The action was taken with police support following the directions of the A.P. High Court.
In another case, GHMC Commissioner M. T. Krishna Babu said that the services of assistant entomologist J. Ravinder, health wing (urban malaria), has been terminated based on a report by the Vigilance department. Ravinder, working on a contract basis, was earlier caught by the ACB when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs.11,000 from a complainant.
