BBMP demolishes 51 houses
BANGALORE: Continuing its anti-encroachment drive, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) demolished around 51 houses encroached upon a rajakaluve (canals) in Yelahanka zone near Dwarakanagar today.
Due to the encroachment on a major portion of the drain, the water would be obstructed and would overflow during the rainy season.
The BBMP men demolished a 150-mtr compound wall and 10 houses were demolished during the drive, said BBMP sources.
