46 acres freed from encroachers in Palsora: Niwas

Encroachment

After the recent anti-encroachment drives in Palsora, the next phase of the drive would see the removal of encroachments from Manimajra where a survey was conducted today.

In a meeting, Home Secretary Ram Niwas said large tracts of land in the city had been freed from encroachments and the drive would continue in the coming days. The meeting was attended by officials of the Administration, Municipal Corporation, Housing, Education Department and Engineering Department. He said that 46 acres of land had been freed in Palsora and large tracts of land had been vacated in Sector 38 (W). He claimed that no further encroachment had come up in these areas as per reports received from the inspecting staff. It was decided that in the next phase of anti-encroachment drive, Manimajra Pocket 8 would be surveyed for the removal of encroachments. An anti-encroachment drive will be taken up in Colony No. 5 where the Engineering Department plans to construct a 100-feet road through the colony.
