Demolitions continue in Austin Town
BANGALORE: The BBMP on Thursday continued the anti-encroachment drive in Austin Town and demolished about 45 unauthorised sheds and shops that had come up on the footpaths on KBR road at Austin town.
The drive, which went on till evening, was carried under the supervision of local police.
The BBMP has in the past three months recovered land worth more than Rs 15 crore through antiencroachment drives.
More than 300 structures built over stormwater drains have been demolished in the process.
