Gaur orders to complete Hamidia Parallel road, rail overbridge

Urban Administration and Development (UAD) Minister Babulal Gaur has issued directives to speedily complete the Hamidia Parallel four-lane road and the railway over-bridge at Kainchi Chhola. These constructions are being done to ease the traffic.

Gaur said that all the obstacles that come in the way of completing these works should be overcame with coordination among officers of all concerned departments. Gaur issued these directives at a meeting with officers of the different departments at a meeting convened at his residence.

Bhopal Mayor Krishna Gaur, Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Manish Singh, Superintending Engineer Public Works Department Askhilesh Upadhyaya, SDM (Old City) Malti Mishra, City Engineer, BMC, AK Nanda and others attended the meeting.

Gaur said that if there is intention to work, no work is difficult. He said that the work to provide facilities to the people should be taken up with interest. He said that slow progress of work will not be tolerated. He directed the city engineer to complete Hamidia parallel road latest by February 2011.

The Urban Administration Minister directed to shift the slums that are preventing progress of the Chhola Railway over bridge work. He also urged the officers to get the court case by Pan Mandi decided at the earliest.

Gaur said that a survey should be conducted for construction of Ropeway over the Upper Lake to attract more tourists. Akhilesh Upadhyaya informed the meeting that plots have been developed in Parvakheda Village to shift the slum dwellers, who are now living on the Waqf Board land on the over bridge path. The ROB to be completed by 30 June 2011.
