HMDA plans commercial complex

Special Correspondent

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is planning to construct a modern commercial complex of international standards with access to the nearest metro rail station at its 24 acre site in Moosapet. The site was restored to HMDA after the proposal to construct an agriculture complex project landed in a controversy.

Prime property

Having taken possession of the site valued anywhere between Rs.350 crore to Rs.400 crore, ideas are being worked out on best way of utilising it.

Biggest advantage of this prime property is its location on the Mumbai Highway road and also proximity to the metro rail station.

HMDA officials are mulling to make at least part use of the massive land for the complex if not the entire area.

“The proposal is still at a conceptual stage. We are considering the possibility of using at least the front part of the site for this project. The complex be of international standards and then access can pe provided to the elevated metro rail. We will also discuss the issue with metro rail authorities also,” says Neerabh Kumar Prasad, HMDA Commissioner.
