IDA to come up with bio-diversity part at Super Corridor

INDORE: Along with TCS, Infosys and many other commercial centres, Super Corridor will also have a bio-diversity park which will provide much needed green space on this ambitious corridor. It was decided in a board meeting of Indore development authority (IDA) on Tuesday.

IDA will develop a bio-diversity park over 17 hectare land at Tigria Badshah on the corridor with the cost of Rs 6.5 crore. The bio-diversity park will have lake, plantation and green cover.

IDA CEO Deepak Singh said the bio-diversity park will act as lungs for the corridor, which is spread over 700 hectares. The main motive behind it is to improve environment and green cover at corridor and also recharge ground water.

Singh said stress will be on more green cover and plantation in the proposed bio-diversity park and less civil work. In the proposed 17 hectare areas revenue department has lake which will be transferred to IDA. This lake will be developed and beautified and along with this more water bodies and green cover will be developed in the bio-diversity park. In between the series of construction and commercial activities, this park will be like fresh air, which will help in maintaining the environment of the corridor and also provide a space for the people to walk and spend some time in greenery close to their commercial centres and offices.

The bio-diversity park will be developed between medical hub and ISBT. Singh said work on preparation of detail project report will begin soon.
