Hyderabad, July 5: A joint inspection of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) was carried out by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and the Cyberabad police on Monday. The metropolitan commissioner, Mr B.P. Acharya, the deputy commissioners of police, Mr Chandra Shekar Reddy and Mr Ashok Reddy were part of the inspection, which was carried out from Gachibowli to Pedda Amberpet, covering a length of 58 kilometres.

As suggested by senior officers of the police department, it was decided to allow traffic on the first stretch of the ORR (from Gachibowli to Sham-shabad), covering 21 kilometres, on all eight lanes. A decision was also taken to allow traffic on Tukkuguda-Vijayawada NH 9 stretch via the Koheda-Sanghi temple Road through the service road of the ORR initially.
