New plan mooted for Kochi Metro rail
KOCHI: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has said that a new proposal on Kochi Metro project is getting ready.DMRC Chairman E Sreedharan said that the Urban Development Ministry would submit a renewed project report to the Planning Commission with an esccalated cost of `5,000 crore.Sreedharan said this after meeting Union Minister of State for Agriculture K V Thomas. Sreedharan said that according to the the new plan, the project would be implemented under the partnership of the Central Government and the State Government.
