HUDA chief finally has his own house

GURGAON: The city's HUDA administrator finally has a roof over his head. Nitin Yadav had been living in HUDA's guesthouse ever since he took over.

The HUDA official claimed that Yadav could not shift to his official residence in sector 27 A because the former HUDA administrator, G Anupma, continued to live in it even after her term ended early this year. Sources also claimed that the former HUDA administrator is at present posted in the tourism ministry in central government and her husband too is an IAS officer.

As she extended her stay at the palatial official house, Yadav was forced to camp at the guesthouse. He took charge in April this year.

It was a bit embarrassing that Yadav, who as HUDA chief takes final decision on housing, himself did not have a roof over his head, quipped a senior HUDA official

According to a senior HUDA official, The matter was brought to the notice of senior officials in the state government. Things finally started moving in his favour early this month. Last week, the former administrator was asked to vacate the house. According to government rules, senior bureaucrats can retain official government accommodation even after outstation posting.
