HMDA comes out with user-friendly applications

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has introduced modified and simplified forms for applying for layouts, gated communities, group development, multistoreyed buildings and change of land use.

HMDA Metropolitan Commissioner BP Acharya released the new forms, to be used from Saturday, at the HMDA office here on Friday.

The form, priced at Rs 100, would shortly be available for downloading on the HMDA website - www.hmda.gov.in.

A help desk to offer information on various services of the HMDA has started functioning in the Planning Department of the HMDA office in the GHMC building at West Marredpally, Secunderabad.

Deadline for LRS fee: Meanwhile, the HMDA has announced January 18 as the deadline for payment of dues under the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS).

Failure to remit the dues could result in the closure of files and forfeiture of initial penal fee paid. The HMDA has approved about 10,000 requests for regularisation and sent letters to the applicants asking them to pay the balance penal fee. However, many of them have not yet paid the amount causing undue delay in issuance of final orders.

The details of the dues will shortly be displayed on the notice boards of HMDA offices and its - www.hmda.gov.in.

Tenders called again: The HMDA has invited tenders once again, following lukewarm response for the earlier notification, for installing Antiglare Panels (AGR) on the PV Narasimha Rao Elevated Expressway.

The HMDA has proposed to instal 5,000 antiglare panels on the Expressway to protect drivers from the glare of oncoming vehicles and help them negotiate curves better. The panels would be spread out on the median at appropriate distances.
